Step #1 FInd the axis of symmetry---the formula to do this is x

Step #2 Find the vertex--(x,y) plug in the axis of symmetry in the equation--

y=(3)squared-6(3)+5= 9-18+5=-4 Vertex-(3,-4)

Step #3 Find the y intercept-plug in 0 for x and 5 is your answer.
